HavenPath serves adults and children with developmental disabilities in Calgary and Airdrie, Alberta. We support individuals across a wide range of needs and abilities — from those requiring 24/7 care in a supported living home to individuals who need lighter assistance with daily living skills or community participation.
If you are unsure whether someone qualifies, please reach out to our admissions team and we will help you assess the right fit.
The Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) program is Alberta's government-funded support program for adults with developmental disabilities. Many of our clients access services through PDD funding, which covers some or all of the cost of their care.
However, PDD funding is not a requirement. We also accept private referrals from families, case managers, and healthcare professionals. Our admissions team can help you understand what funding options may be available to you.
The timeline varies depending on the type of referral and the individual's needs. In general, after we receive an inquiry, our team typically makes contact within one to two business days to begin a preliminary assessment.
From there, we work through a care planning process before confirming placement. We aim to make this as smooth and timely as possible, and we will keep you informed at every stage.
Once we receive your inquiry form, a member of our admissions team will reach out within one to two business days to introduce themselves and gather more information about the individual's needs, preferences, and current situation.
From there, we will schedule a more detailed assessment, begin building a personalised care plan, and walk you through each step until placement is confirmed.
Families can absolutely refer a loved one directly — no case manager is required to start the conversation. We welcome inquiries from parents, guardians, siblings, spouses, and other family members.
If a case manager or healthcare professional is already involved in your loved one's care, we are happy to work alongside them as part of a coordinated approach.
Costs depend on the services required and how they are funded. For individuals accessing services through Alberta's PDD program, funding may cover the majority or all of the service costs.
For private arrangements, our admissions team will provide full transparency on pricing during the assessment process. We never want cost to be a barrier to someone getting the support they need, so we encourage you to reach out and have that conversation with us directly.
We currently serve individuals and families in Calgary and Airdrie, Alberta. If you are located outside of these areas, please still reach out — depending on the nature of the support needed, we may be able to assist or point you toward appropriate resources in your region.
That is completely normal and one of the most common situations we encounter. Our admissions team is specifically trained to help you figure this out — you do not need to know which service you need before reaching out.
Simply submit an inquiry or book a free 30-minute consultation and we will ask the right questions to match the individual with the most appropriate level of support.
Yes. We encourage families and prospective residents to visit before making any decisions. Seeing the environment in person, meeting our staff, and getting a feel for how a home operates is an important part of the process.
Visits are arranged through our admissions team after an initial assessment. Contact us to get started and we will schedule a time that works for you.
You can book a free 30-minute consultation directly through the booking calendar on this page — just scroll down to the "Book a Free Consultation" section and pick a time that works for you. You will receive an automatic confirmation and a video meeting link straight to your inbox.
